The Role
Banksia Grove PS has been selected as one of five trial schools for the new five day a week Kindergarten Programme for **** to ****.
Suitable applicants will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to collaborate with colleagues to create and maintain a supportive and inclusive education programme to meet the specific needs of students.
They will ideally show initiative,



be open to new ideas and be flexible with a genuine understanding of how children learn through play being responsive to their needs and learning opportunities.
The following feature in our school practices: Sounds Write, Talk 4 Writing, Heggerty, mindfulness practices, Berry Street Education, Zones of Regulation and restorative practices.
The school is a Positive Behaviour school with a strong focus on developing behavioural and emotional competency in all students.
Staff support students with co-regulation and self-regulation using Zones of Regulation and restorative approaches.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
be an Australian or Recent Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
