Dual Registered Nurse/Midwife – Portland, Victoria We are seeking an experienced Dual Registered Nurse/Midwife for a fixed-term contract in Portland, Victoria.

Contract dates: 28/09/2026-15/11/2026
n Hours: 76 hours per fortnight
n Roster: Morning, late and night shifts, including weekends and on-call duties
n
About the Facility
n
This is a low-risk Level 2 birthing facility supporting approximately ***** births each year. The service also provides outpatient care to women whose pregnancies may be considered too high-risk to birth locally.
n
You will join a close-knit team of eight midwives, one obstetrician and one paediatrician.
n
One midwife is rostered per shift, so applicants must be confident working independently. Additional support is available from the on-call midwife when required, and two midwives are present for every birth.

Shift Times
n

Morning: 7:0 am-3:30 pm
n
Late: 1:30 pm-10:00 pm
n
Night: 9:30 pm-7:30 am
n
On-call duties are required
n

Essential Requirements
n
n
Current dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife with AHPRA
n
Recognised degree-level qualification in nursing and midwifery
n
FSEP Level 3 Practitioner certification
n
Strong midwifery experience
n
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
n
Ability and confidence to work independently
n
Demonstrated commitment to woman- and family-centred care
n
Flexible and creative approach to practice
n
Commitment to providing evidence-based care
n
Current police check issued within the past 12 months
n
Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
n
Current immunisation history and/or supporting serology results
n
