We are looking for a passionate and experienced Trainer & Assessor – Diploma of Community Services to join our supportive academic team in Adelaide, South Australia.

About the Role
n
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will play an important role in supporting students throughout their learning journey.
n
You will deliver engaging, practical and industry-relevant training while creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated and empowered to achieve their goals.
n
n
Deliver engaging classroom and practical training for the Diploma of Community Services
n
Use innovative teaching methods, activities, case studies and real-world examples to bring learning to life
n
Develop, review and continuously improve learning and assessment materials
n
Provide meaningful feedback, academic guidance and ongoing student support
n




Conduct fair, consistent and competency-based assessments
n
Maintain accurate student, assessment and progress records
n
Ensure training and assessment practices meet relevant regulatory, quality and compliance requirements
n
Bring current industry practices, legislation, ethical considerations and sector developments into the classroom
n
Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to continuously enhance the student experience
n
Foster an inclusive, respectful and student-centred learning environment
n
n
About You
n
You are more than an experienced professional — you are someone who genuinely enjoys helping others learn, grow and succeed.
n
You can translate your industry knowledge into practical, engaging learning experiences and are passionate about preparing students for meaningful careers in the Community Services sector.
n
To be successful, you will ideally have:
n
n
Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Youth Work, Counselling or a related discipline
n
Current or recent professional experience within the Community Services sector
n
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent
n




Experience delivering competency-based training and assessment
n
The ability to engage, motivate and support students from diverse backgrounds
n
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, qualified standards and ethical frameworks
n
A genuine commitment to inclusive education and student success
n
Strong organisational and administrative skills
n
Confidence using digital learning platforms, Learning Management Systems and standard office applications
n
A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends and best practice
n
