The Role
This role is ideal for a Quantity Surveyor who is ready to take on greater responsibility, broaden their client exposure and progress toward Senior Quantity Surveyor over the next ***** months.
You'll work across a variety of projects and contribute to both pre and post contract cost management services, including cost planning, estimating, procurement support, tender analysis, variation assessment, progress claim reviews and construction phase cost reporting.
You'll collaborate closely with clients, architects, consultants and project teams, providing explicit, accurate and confident cost advice throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also be supported by experienced senior leaders who will give you the autonomy, guidance and responsibility needed to continue progressing in your career.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to cost planning, estimating and cost management across multiple projects
Prepare cost plans, estimates, bills of quantities and cost reports
Assist with tender evaluation, tender analysis and procurement advice
Assess variations, change items, progress claims and other commercial matters
Attend site inspections and prepare monthly progress claim assessments
Assist with final accounts, claims review and contract administration support where required
Provide clear, reliable and commercially sound cost advice
Build trusted relationships with clients, consultants and project teams through professional communication
Manage priorities, take ownership of tasks and work collaboratively with the broader team
What We're Looking For
4-8 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost management or a related construction consultancy role
Experience across pre and post contract cost management services
Ready to progress toward Senior Quantity Surveyor within the next ***** months
Strong technical skills, commercial awareness and attention to detail
Transparent communication skills and confidence working with clients and project teams
A proactive mindset and willingness to take on responsibility
Ability to manage tasks independently while contributing positively to a team environment
Degree qualified in quantity surveying, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
Chartership with AIQS, RICS, or a similar professional body is preferred but not mandatory.
