This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer to take ownership of utility and civil works on complex projects, working alongside experienced delivery teams and well-regarded industry leaders.
The role
You will support the successful delivery of utilities and civil infrastructure works from planning through to completion. Depending on the project, this may include water, sewer, stormwater, electrical, communications, gas and associated civil works.
Key responsibilities include:
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, labour and plant on site
Managing short-term programs, look-aheads and construction sequencing
Preparing and reviewing RFIs, ITPs, SWMS, permits and quality documentation
Monitoring progress, costs, productivity and project reporting
Assisting with procurement, variations, claims and subcontractor management
Working closely with Site Managers, Supervisors, Project Managers and client representatives
Ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification,
on programme and within budget
Building strong relationships across the project team and with key stakeholders
At Senior Project Engineer level, leading key work fronts, mentoring junior engineers and taking greater responsibility for commercial, programme and client-management outcomes
About you:
Experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer within civil infrastructure, utilities or major projects
Exposure to utility packages including water, sewer, drainage, electrical, communications or gas
A Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related qualification
Strong knowledge of site-based delivery, quality, safety and construction documentation
Commercial awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities in a live project environment
Clear communication skills and a collaborative, hands-on approach
