An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Nurse Unit Manager – Perioperative Services to join a well-established private healthcare organisation in Hobart.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse looking to take the next step, overseeing a busy surgical service covering a broad range of specialties.

About the role
n
n
Lead and support the perioperative nursing team across multiple surgical specialties
n
Provide clinical leadership across theatre, anaesthetics and recovery/PACU
n
Oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, rostering and patient flow
n
Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and other clinical stakeholders
n
Support clinical governance, quality improvement and accreditation requirements
n
Lead, mentor and develop the nursing team
n




Promote a strong culture of patient safety and high-quality care
n
n
About you
n
n
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
Previous experience as a NUM or ANUM or an Anaesthetist background with leadership experience
n
Strong perioperative nursing experience
n
Experience across multiple surgical specialties
n
Ideally, experience across theatre, anaesthetics and recovery/PACU
n
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
n
Sound understanding of clinical governance and quality standards
n
Ability to lead a team within a fast-paced surgical environment
n
