Calling all heroes (immediately available accountants), we are recruiting on behalf of an established resources business for an experienced, hands‐on Financial Controller to provide immediate leadership across the finance function.
n
This is an initial three‐month contract supporting the business through a period of transition. The successful candidate will step into an established finance function, lead the team, maintain continuity and ensure the day‐to‐day financial operations continue to run smoothly.

About the Role:
n
This is a genuinely hands‐on Financial Controller chance suited to someone who enjoys being close to the numbers and working directly with their finance team.
n
The successful candidate will provide stability and leadership across the finance function while remaining actively involved in financial reporting, month‐end, controls and the broader day‐to‐day accounting requirements of the business.
n
This is not a heavily strategic or transformation-focused Financial Controller role. The organisation is looking for someone practical,



dependable and commercially sensible who can quickly understand an established environment and work effectively within the existing structure.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead the day‐to‐day finance function and provide support and direction to the finance team.
n
Take ownership of month‐end and financial reporting requirements.
n
Review management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial information.
n
Maintain strong financial controls and reporting disciplines.
n
Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow requirements.
n
Provide accurate and timely financial information to senior management.
n
Assist with statutory reporting, audit and compliance requirements where required.
n
Work closely with operational and senior stakeholders across the business.
n
Resolve accounting and reporting issues as they arise.
n
Remain hands‐on and support the team across the detail when required.
n
Maintain continuity across the finance function during a period of transition.
n

Short but Sweet:
n
We are seeking an experienced finance professional with:
n
n
Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior operational finance leader.
n
Strong experience within mining or mining services.
n
Demonstrated experience leading and supporting a finance team.
n
Solid hands‐on financial accounting and management reporting experience.
n
Pronto experience is essential.
n
A practical, collaborative and low‐ego leadership style.
n
The ability to operate effectively within an established finance environment.
n
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
n
Availability to commence immediately or at short notice.
n
CA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification highly regarded.
