About the Opportunity
Working closely with the Inspection and Reporting Team Leader, you'll undertake inspections of roads, footpaths, drainage networks and other community assets, identify maintenance and safety issues and ensure accurate asset information is recorded to support safe, reliable and well-maintained facilities for our community.
What you will bring
Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:
Experience in building and/or civil construction maintenance, including asset inspections, condition assessments, defect identification, and the preparation of maintenance reports and recommendations.
Ability to complete forms and inspection checklists associated with maintenance and construction works.
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team from time to time.
Ability to collate information and calculate quantities for work estimates.
Well-developed computer skills including sound knowledge of laptops computers, tablet and mobile devices, a working knowledge of GPS operations, common use programs, data base and records management systems.
Current Drivers Licence
Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.
Salary and conditions
The position is classified within Band 4 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $74,738 per annum including industry allowance plus statutory superannuation.
