About the Role
We're looking for a
Speech Pathologist
to join our team across
Brisbane East, Bayside and the Redlands
.
Depending on where you're based, your caseload could include areas such as
Cleveland, Thornlands, Redland Bay, Victoria Point, Capalaba, Alexandra Hills, Wellington Point, Birkdale, Wynnum, Manly and surrounding suburbs
.
While the broader service area covers Brisbane's eastern and bayside communities,
you won't be expected to travel across the entire region
.
Wherever possible, we'll build your caseload around where you live, helping keep travel practical and giving you greater flexibility over your working week.
You'll work across a flexible mix of
home, school, community and telehealth settings
, supporting participants across a varied NDIS caseload.
Your Role Depending on your experience and clinical interests, you'll have opportunities to work across
communication, language, social communication and/or mealtime goals
, with your caseload shaped around local service needs wherever possible.
You'll also have the support of Avina's wider multidisciplinary and Speech Pathology network, with access to
clinical supervision, peer collaboration, Communities of Practice and ongoing professional development
.

What You'll Be Doing
Conduct Speech Pathology assessments and deliver evidence-informed intervention
Support communication, language, social communication and/or mealtime goals
Develop functional therapy plans aligned with participant and family goals
Work flexibly across home, school, community and telehealth settings
Collaborate with families, educators, support networks and multidisciplinary colleagues
Participate in supervision, peer learning and career development

What You'll Bring
Bachelor or Master of Speech Pathology
Current Speech Pathology Australia membership or eligibility
Strong communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills
A collaborative and person-centred approach
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle for community work
