Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48-hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.

Hale School is seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Education teacher to join its Outdoor Education Department for Semester ******.
n
Hale School's Outdoor Education program delivers camps, expeditions, qualifications and outdoor learning experiences from Years 4 to 12. You will facilitate meaningful learning experiences, support student wellbeing and contribute to program delivery both in the field and through curriculum activities.

The successful applicant will:
n
n
have a passion for outdoor learning and youth development.
n
engage students in the process of learning by employing a variety of effective teaching strategies to successfully implement the outdoor education curriculum
n
have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.
n
have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support Hale School's values and Anglican traditions.
n
hold appropriate academic and teaching qualifications.
n
have current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia or be eligible for registration.
n
have a current Working with Children (WWC) check.
n
– a CV outlining their qualifications and relevant experience.
n
– the names and contact details of three referees, one of whom must be the current or most recent employer.
n

Current applicants who have arrived in Australia within the last 12 months are required to provide Hale School with a Police Clearance issued by their country of origin within the last 12 months prior to appointment preceding the employee's appointment to Hale School. Documents are to be translated by a certified agent if necessary. The cost of this clearance is to be borne by the applicant.
