Accountant – Penrith, Cumbria£30,000 - £40,000 + Study Support + Benefits
n Clark Wood are recruiting for an Accountant to join an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Penrith, Cumbria.
n This role would suit an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Semi Senior, Semi Senior Accountant or AAT qualified Accountant looking to progress their career within accountancy practice.
n You'll work with a varied portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, gaining experience across accounts preparation, tax, bookkeeping and general client work.

The Role
n

Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
n
Preparing and assisting with personal tax returns
n
Supporting with corporation tax and tax compliance
n
Bookkeeping and VAT work
n
Dealing with client queries and providing accounting support
n
Maintaining accurate working papers and records
n




Using accounting software to complete client assignments
n
Working to deadlines and managing your own workload
n
n
About You
n
n
Previous experience within a UK accountancy practice
n
AAT qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
n
Experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance
n
Good bookkeeping and accounting knowledge
n
Good communication skills and a client-focused approach
n
Keen to develop your career within practice
n
