Job Description
We're partnering with a well-regarded Darwin practice looking for a Podiatrist to join their team. The role suits clinicians who want breadth in their caseload, autonomy in their day, and a genuine lifestyle change - without giving up professional standards or support.
n
You'll be working across a patient mix you simply don't see in metro clinics: general biomechanics and routine care alongside high-risk diabetic foot management, wound care, and Indigenous health presentations. It's the kind of caseload that fast-tracks a career.
n
Why Darwin, why this role
n
n
Clinical breadth - a caseload that develops you two to three years faster than an equivalent metro role
n
Real lifestyle - ***** minute commutes, boat ramps 20 minutes from the clinic, and 30°C in July
n
Financial upside - the NT government's remote-area tax offsets and lower cost of living stretch a salary meaningfully further
n
Supportive team - you're not the only clinician; there's a multidisciplinary team around you and structured mentoring if you need it
n
Modern clinic - current equipment, current software, none of the "make do" you might expect of a remote role
n
n
What The Day Looks Like
n
n
Comprehensive assessments, diagnoses and evidence-based treatment planning across a broad caseload
n
Routine podiatry care - nail and callus management, general biomechanics, footwear advice
n
High-complexity work - diabetic and high-risk foot assessments, wound care, offloading
n
Orthotic prescription, fitting, and rehabilitation program design
n
Patient education with a strong preventive-health focus
n
Accurate clinical documentation aligned with AHPRA standards
n
Participation in case reviews and team development
n
n
Who We're Looking For
n
n
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Podiatry
n
Current General Registration with the Podiatry Board of Australia (AHPRA)
n
Current graduates are genuinely welcome - structured mentoring and clinical supervision provided
n
Cultural awareness and a respectful, patient-centred approach - you'll work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients as part of the everyday caseload
n
Working with Children Check, National Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
n
The temperament for a bit of adventure - Darwin rewards clinicians who lean into it
n
n
What's On Offer
n
n
Competitive base salary + superannuation, structured to reflect the location and your experience
n
Relocation support available for the right candidate
n
Generous CPD allowance and dedicated study leave
n
Access to Zone A remote-area tax offsets (talk to your accountant - they're meaningful)
n
Modern clinic, high-quality equipment, and clinical software you'll actually enjoy using
n
Flexible rostering and a genuine 4- or 5-day work week
n
A clear career pathway with real clinical autonomy from day one
n
n
Sound like you?
