About the role
As a key member of our Project team, you will be responsible for
As a senior member of the project team, establish and maintain a strong working & cooperative team culture in alignment with our company values
Working closely with the Project Manager and team to assist in the development of project planning and strategy to achieve critical project objectives
Provide leadership and support to the Project Manager to ensure issues are dealt with in a timely manner and mitigation strategies are worked through & implemented
Support with monthly reporting both internally and externally
Meet HSE key performance objectives including providing a strong safety focus and leadership
Oversee direct reports to ensure they are achieving the necessary output to meet project objectives
Provide mentoring and development of younger project team members including review and assessment of graduates in meeting their Graduate programme elements
Work closely with Contract Administrators, assisting with procurement including development of trade scopes, RFP's, receiving quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, tabulating their prices, checking if they have covered all aspects of the scope, quantities, quality, HSE, programme and make formal recommendations to the Project Manager and Commercial team
Prepare sketches, programmes, method statements, and minor temporary designs for inclusions in the tender
Assist Design Manager in finalisation of design aspects on D&C; projects including review of design documents during the design process
Oversee the project Quality Assurance system (using Visibuild) and work closely with our QA Advisor to ensure quality objectives are being met
Manage the RFI process with subcontractors, consultant, and client
Seek information from Service Authorities and Councils on specific requirements for CMP, Asset Protection, new service connections, etc
Maintain and manage the defect process on Aconex or Visibuild
About you
To be successful in this role you will:
Relevant tertiary qualification (Civil Engineering or Construction Management & Building Economics)
At least 4 years' experience in Project Coordinator roles
Understanding of Cheops, Microsoft Project, Aconex, Hammertech, BIM software (Navisworks, Autocloud, etc)
Knowledge of the whole project delivery process
Be a permanent resident of Australia
