The new Midwifery Annualised Salary Agreement (MASA) agreement for Caseload Midwifery commenced 30 June **** and attracts a 40% annualisation loading for caseload midwives.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent and Fixed Term appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency, at various hours.
Position Profile:
WACHS is seeking to grow our Midwifery workforce with positions available in Core, Caseload models and limited locations for FIFO opportunities.
Roles in multiple regions.
Fixed Term and Permanent roles available.
These positions require demonstrated leadership qualities and skills – relevant to the SRN role.
Utilising the full scope of your qualifications in the midwifery setting and the ability to prescribe and order diagnostics and be appropriately remunerated for your advanced scope.

Suitability Criteria
Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements.
The suitability requirements below are derived from the Job Description Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:
Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Holds an endorsement for scheduled medicines for midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated advanced clinical experience,
knowledge and leadership in midwifery care across the continuum utilising the Australian College of Midwives National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral.
Well-developed clinical problem-solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and health regulating Acts including legislative obligations relating to midwifery practice.
Experience in quality improvement, its practical application in family centred care and its relationship to strategic development.
Demonstrated digital capability across clinical systems which contribute to the provision of quality care.

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
Other Conditions:
WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility.

The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications, and will assess on a regular basis.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
Appointments may be made from this pool until 30/06/2027.
