Permanent full-time leadership role 9 day fortnight Based in North Plympton with onsite parking Are you an experienced civil structures worker with a proactive, hands-on leadership style?
We are seeking one person to lead our Civil Structures team.
The successful candidate will be appointed to one of the following classifications , depending on their qualifications, skills and experience: Leading Hand Civil Structures - CWT 7: $95,861 per annum; or Work Group Leader Civil Structures - CWT 8: $107,567 per annum.
This is an excellent opportunity to provide practical leadership and support the delivery of effective, efficient and high-quality civil structures services to our community.
You will guide and mentor team members, foster collaboration and help ensure the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
Key responsibilities: In this role, you will: lead and coordinate the team's daily operations, ensuring activities are completed within budget and to the required standard maintain accurate records relating to labour, equipment and materials ensure high standards of quality and safety assist with planning and delivering projects coordinate, schedule and supervise employees and contractors foster a positive, collaborative and harmonious work environment undertake operational duties when required liaise professionally with community members.

You will be comfortable coordinating and supervising works while also undertaking operational duties and engaging with community members when required.

You will consistently promote and model safe work practices while supporting your team to deliver high-quality services.
Classification criteria Applicants will be considered for one position at either CWT 7 or CWT 8 .
The level of appointment will be determined through the recruitment process.
Work Group Leader Civil Structures - CWT 8 To be appointed at the CWT 8 level, the successful candidate must have: a Diploma in Civil Construction, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field a current driver's licence - minimum Medium Rigid (MR) class Conduct Operational Inspection of Park Facilities Level 2 - Playground Inspections appropriate licences and certificates to operate the plant and equipment associated with the position a Temporary Traffic Management Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one a National Police Clearance issued within the previous 6 months, or a willingness to obtain one during the recruitment process.
Leading Hand Civil Structures - CWT 7 To be appointed at the CWT 7 level, the successful candidate must have: a Certificate III in Civil Construction, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field a current driver's licence - minimum Medium Rigid (MR) class Conduct Operational Inspection of Park Facilities Level 2 - Playground Inspections appropriate licences and certificates to operate the plant and equipment associated with the position a Workzone Traffic Management Certificate, or a willingness to obtain one a National Police Clearance issued within the previous 6 months, or a willingness to obtain one during the recruitment process.
