Your part in our St Andrews War Memorial Hospital team As the CSSD Team Leader, you will be responsible for the ongoing coordination of the Sterilisation Team, supervising the reprocessing and sterilisation of all reusable medical devices and equipment to the operating theatres, clinical area and external customers.
You will: Supervise the shift activities, within the Sterilisation department Identify, promote and participate in relevant quality improvement projects and education programs to ensure continuous quality improvements Assist the Department Manager ensuring team members are appropriately trained and competent in the use of all equipment Act as a sterilising consultant and resource person to staff on sterilising technology Assist the Department Manager with HR related processes Assist with the staff rosters in accordance with relevant EA guidelines and department needs What makes a difference for us?




At least 2 years' experience as a CSSD Sterilisation Technician Certificate 3 in Sterilisation Technology Experience as a Team Leader Current clinical experience in sterilisation techniques and reprocessing medical devices and instruments Excellent customer service skills Experience leading and managing a team Sound knowledge of Australian Standard **** Reprocessing of reusable medical devices in a health services organisation.
Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospitals infection control requirements, as well as undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment What makes a difference for you?
