Our client, Goldman Capital Pty Ltd, is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join its team and carry out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance across its fleet of rental vehicles.
Tasks include: · Liaise with management and rental staff to identify vehicle faults and prioritise servicing and repairs across the rental fleet.
· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment, testing tools and road tests where required.
· Inspect, dismantle, repair and replace defective engine, transmission, braking, steering, suspension and related components.
· Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil and fluid changes, filter replacement, lubrication and tyre checks.
· Follow manufacturer specifications and service manuals when repairing, tuning and adjusting vehicle systems.
· Monitor fleet service intervals and coordinate maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain vehicle availability.




· Test repaired vehicles to confirm safe and correct operation before returning them to rental service.
· Attend to fleet breakdowns and arrange further mechanical assistance where required.
· Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, diagnostic findings and parts used.
· Maintain a secure workshop and ensure hoists, tools, equipment and waste materials are handled appropriately.
Requirements: Certificate IV or an equivalent qualification in a relevant automotive field.
At least one year of relevant experience working as a Motor Mechanic.
Experience in vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance; experience maintaining rental or commercial fleets is desirable.
Sound understanding of engine diagnostics, mechanical and electrical systems, and repair procedures.
Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment, workshop tools and manufacturer service manuals.
