The ideal candidate is a reliable team player with a solid passion for food, demonstrated food preparation and cooking skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
This role requires a hands-on approach, the ability to work collaboratively with café and kitchen staff, and a focus on preparing and cooking consistent, high-quality meals while maintaining appropriate standards of food presentation, hygiene and safe food handling.
Your role will include, but is not limited to: Prepare, season, cook and serve high-quality meals according to café standards.
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, presentation and portion control.
Prepare ingredients and undertake food preparation for daily café service.
Provide friendly and professional customer service.




Work collaboratively with café and kitchen staff during service.
Support participants to develop practical workplace and hospitality skills.
Maintain kitchen and café cleanliness, hygiene and food safety standards.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor food and supply stock levels and notify management when replenishment is required.
Assist with maintaining efficient kitchen operations during busy periods.
Support problem-solving and effective workflow within the kitchen.
Applicants must have: Relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience.
Alternatively, at least three years of full-time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
Sound food safety and hygiene practices.
Ability to work efficiently and manage time during busy periods.
Ability to work effectively with other team members.
