The role provides an opportunity to maintain a broad General Medicine practice while contributing specialist Gastroenterology expertise to the regional community.
Depending on experience and service requirements, the Gastroenterology component may include inpatient consultation, outpatient clinics, diagnostic assessment and endoscopic services.
General Medicine The General Medicine component provides exposure to a broad range of acute and complex adult medical presentations.
Responsibilities may include: Inpatient assessment and management Management of complex and multi-system medical conditions Specialist consultation and clinical advice Multidisciplinary care planning Participation in clinical education and supervision Contribution to clinical governance and quality improvement Gastroenterology The Gastroenterology component provides an opportunity to deliver specialist care across a broad range of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary presentations.
The successful candidate may contribute to: Inpatient Gastroenterology consultations Outpatient Gastroenterology clinics Assessment and management of complex gastrointestinal conditions Diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy,

Requirements Applicants will ideally have: FRACP specialist qualifications Specialist registration with AHPRA , or eligibility for specialist registration Specialist training and experience in both General Medicine and Gastroenterology Candidates who are due to attain Fellowship within the next six months are encouraged to enquire International Medical Graduates SIMGs are strongly encouraged to apply , particularly candidates who have received an RACP Substantially Comparable outcome in both General Medicine and Gastroenterology .
UK and Irish-trained physicians progressing through the RACP specialist assessment pathway are also encouraged to discuss their individual circumstances and eligibility with Sante Recruitment.
