About the Role As the Assistant Principal: Trade Training , will provide leadership in all matters pertaining to the operation of the St. Yon Trade Training Centre, including, program and policy development; assessment, moderation and reporting; program support; teacher induction and support; planning, provision, supervision and maintenance of the centre's plant and operation and industry liaison.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of trade pathways,



training plans and developing robust partnerships with registered training organisations.
They will manage students from LaSalle and other feeder colleges in their VET pathways.
Key areas of responsibility include working closely with staff to ensure the best pedagogical practice, professional performance and learning growth for every student.
You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the proven ability to work collaboratively and be driven to learn and implement new ideas across the school community.
Qualifications and/or experience in gifted education is desirable.
To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate impact in: managing the VET pattern of study of students completing School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBAT), ATAR or non ATAR pathways managing the academic and pastoral care needs of students across a range of academic pathways and from a variety of schools who attend the St Yon Trade Training centre.
managing the trade training facility, including management of budgets for the effective operation of the Trade Training Centre minimum 5 years leadership experience within education, vocational education, trades training, TAFE, RTO, or apprenticeship environments experience leading a team leading a school-wide culture that is characterised by high performance, continuous improvement, data-informed decision making and a commitment to best practice contributing actively to the life and mission of the Catholic Church, through word and action, demonstrating the values of the Gospel at work collaboratively leading a culture of effective, distributive, and sustainable religious leadership, prioritising partnership with parish communities and the wider Church leading with exemplary practice in planning, implementing,



and reviewing teaching and learning strategies and programs to develop student knowledge, understanding and skills leading a culture of best practice in workplace health and safety across a variety of practical environments leading within a network to promote the reciprocal benefits of school and system partnerships fostering strong professional networks and partnerships to share best practice and deliver improved student outcomes is a practising Catholic with demonstrated evidence of ongoing commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church and engagement in the life of a Catholic faith community such as a parish or an established community within the Catholic Church, as an expression of their relationship with Jesus Christ (desirable).
You will have attained, or be pursuing, the following qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Education or Teaching and current NESA accreditation OR other relevant tertiary qualification in training and assessment Category E as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead (desirable).
