Youth Case Manager | Full Time | Rowes Bay, Townsville SCHADS Level 4 Make a real difference in a young person's recovery journey.
The Salvation Army is seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Case Manager to support young people and young families experiencing challenges related to alcohol and other drug use.
This role will work with young people in outreach, as well as a small cohort of young people in a residential rehabilitation centre.
Working within a trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice framework, you'll empower young people to achieve positive outcomes through tailored case management, advocacy, and holistic support.
About the Role As a Youth Case Manager , you will: Deliver high-quality case management, assessments, referrals,



and advocacy for young people and families Support clients through their recovery journey and help them build positive social and family connections Develop and review individual support plans that promote long-term wellbeing Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes Facilitate engagement in pro-social activities aligned with The Salvation Army's values and mission Maintain accurate case notes, care plans, and client records Safely transport clients when required using a TSA vehicle Respond appropriately to critical incidents and challenging situations Create and maintain a secure, supportive, and welcoming environment for young people What You'll Bring Degree in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or a related discipline (minimum Diploma qualification considered with relevant experience) At least 2 years' experience in case management with disadvantaged or complex-needs clients Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, mental health, and adolescent development Experience working with culturally diverse young people and families Strong relationship-building, communication, and advocacy skills Ability to remain calm and professional in complex and unpredictable situations Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills Commitment to reflective practice and continuous learning Essential Requirements Current Driver's Licence Blue Card / Working with Children Check Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free + $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
