An established, design-led Australian brand is seeking a commercially driven, high-energy leader to take ownership of its flagship Fitzroy showroom.
This highly visible role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the floor, engaging with customers, developing people and creating the momentum that drives strong sales performance.
You may currently lead a team in premium retail, luxury fashion, jewellery, telecommunications, furniture, interiors, kitchens, appliances, tiles or beauty.
Your specific industry is less important than your ability to lead from the front, build lasting customer relationships and drive commercial outcomes within a consultative sales environment.
The opportunity The Fitzroy showroom attracts a diverse customer base—from homeowners and renovators to designers, architects, builders and tradespeople.
Leading a close-knit team of 3–4, you will take ownership of the complete showroom experience, including its people, customers, sales performance and day-to-day operations.
This is not a behind-the-desk management role.
You will be visible, involved and commercially active—personally selling, supporting customers and helping your team convert opportunities.
Key responsibilities include: Leading, coaching and motivating the showroom team Driving individual and team sales performance Managing customer enquiries,



quotes and follow-up activity Building relationships with new and returning customers Holding team huddles, meetings and one-on-ones Maintaining exceptional showroom and service standards Overseeing stock, reporting and general operations Identifying opportunities to strengthen performance About you You will be a confident sales and people leader who combines energy with emotional intelligence.
You know how to set the pace without being ego-driven and are equally comfortable closing a sale, coaching an employee and reviewing performance.
You will bring: Leadership experience in a sales-focused retail, showroom or customer environment A strong record of achieving targets and lifting team performance Experience in consultative or relationship-led sales A hands-on leadership style and genuine enjoyment of selling Strong coaching, communication and commercial skills Confidence working with targets, KPIs and reporting Experience in fittings, fixtures, interiors or a related product category would be valuable but is not essential.
We are equally interested in leaders from premium and luxury environments as well as solution selling retail leadership - where customers expect expertise, trust and an exceptional experience.
The role works Sunday to Thursday, and availability to work one weekend day is essential.
