These roles offer the opportunity to support key state-wide initiatives while managing high-profile and contentious issues.
Ideal candidates will bring solid government experience, sound media judgement and a proactive approach.
ASAP start through to 31 March ****, based in Parramatta, with regional candidates considered.
The Job.

Reporting to the Director, Senior Media Advisors will be responsible for: Coordinate media content with the Media Manager and relevant experts.
Identify and manage emerging media and reputational risks.
Advise executives and teams on media and communications strategies.
Draft media releases, statements and responses.
Support campaigns, events and key initiatives with proactive media engagement.
Prepare speeches, briefings and FAQs.




Maintain relationships with journalists, Ministerial Offices and senior stakeholders.

To succeed in these roles, you will have demonstrated experience in: 5+ years' experience in media and/or journalism.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
Strong media relations, issues management and reputational risk skills.
Excellent writing, editing and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Experience managing complex media matters across diverse outlets.
Ability to deliver accurate, timely communications across competing priorities.
