Dyna Automotive based in Paget, QLD deliver expert mechanical repairs, auto electrical troubleshooting, and certified air conditioning services for cars, 4WDs, caravans, heavy machinery, and boats.
To serve our clients with new electric vehicles (EVs) and complex digital systems in current cars, we are looking for an experience and skilled Motor Mechanic.
This is a full-time role for the right applicant.
Purpose of the position To perform repairs and maintenance to vehicles assigned to you.
Contribute to the efficient and safe operations of the workshop environment.
This includes but is not limited to any systems and employees within.
This role will regulate streamlined workshop processes, assure quality of work ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Service Operations • Carry out vehicle repairs and/or maintenance as per the repair order to the Company's requirements and report directly to the supervisor whenever this cannot be done.
• Plan each job for maximum efficiency.
Order parts (where necessary) from Parts and accessories department immediately.
• Maintain a sound knowledge of all products and services.
• Request assistance from the supervisor when diagnosis of problem jobs is required.
• Be responsible for the care and use of all workshop tools and equipment and return to correct location after use.
• Correctly complete all works as per Repair Times Guide.
• Legibly complete all paperwork correctly with all details regarding works carried out and/or parts ordered.
• Return vehicles in a clean condition after repairs.
• Do not smoke in any vehicles and obey all road laws when road testing vehicles.
• Maintain familiarity with and follow procedures when obtaining or ordering parts.
• Suggest training and tooling needs to the supervisor.




• Keep a complete and up-to-date tool kit.
• Maintain workbench and bay areas in a clean, orderly state.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
General • Conduct yourself in a professional manner always.
Lead by example with a hands-on approach.
• Foster an environment whereby all team members are focused and motivated.
• Contribute to scheduled team meetings.
• Work with the team to develop a strong Customer Service attitude in the workshops.
• Liaise/inform the Directors/Operations Manager of any unclear conditions or directions.
• Maintain communication with Directors to report unusual concerns and share new ideas that may contribute to improved workshop operations.
• Developing and implementing systems within the business to enhance customer service and workflow throughout the business.
• Perform all mechanical services and repairs to a professional standard at all times Customer Service • Dyna Group has a high commitment to Customer Service.

• Members of the team will deal with customers in a friendly, polite and professional manner.
• Ensure administration is informed if quoted/allotted times are to be exceeded and gain approval to proceed.
• Ensure customer approval for all additional work outside of that listed on job card.




Operational • Monitor workflow to anticipate the impact of delays/freed time and initiate steps to compensate.
• Ensure full utilisation of workshop available labour and resources to achieve optimum efficiency.
• Give practical assistance to other workshop technicians and apprentices and provide on the-job training and technical advice as required.
• Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in workshop facility.
• Ensure the most effective use of available time and equipment.
• Co-ordinate with Administration in arranging for required parts/equipment for current/upcoming jobs.
• Ensure non-allocated parts are returned to the supplier through proper processes.
• Review job cards to ensure all required information for each job is properly maintained and documented.
Health Safety • Keep yourself up to date on all health and safety issues facing the workshop.
• Encourage all team members are aware of the current health and safety regulations.
• Encourage all team members to wear and use the appropriate PP equipment.
Systems • Analyse current procedures and activities to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop.
• Encourage all team members to use the systems appropriately.
• Encourage all team members to implement strategies to improve productivity.

Eligibility Requirements: • Certificate III with two years of on-job training or certificate IV or higher qualification OR • Three years of experience in similar role to substitute the formal qualifications • At least one year of experience in similar role.
Salary - $80,500 plus super Only eligible and short-listed applicants will be contacted.
