Role Description:
The Store Owner role at Furniture Court is an in office position responsible for overseeing daily store operations and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
The Store Owner manages staff schedules, supervises sales activities, and maintains store presentation and merchandising standards.
This role includes monitoring inventory, coordinating deliveries, and working with suppliers to keep stock levels aligned with customer demand.
The Store Owner also tracks sales performance, manages budgets, and implements local marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and revenue.
This position requires hands-on leadership, regular engagement with customers,



and active involvement in the local community.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in retail management or store leadership, preferably in furniture, bedding, homewares, or related sectors.
Strong customer service and sales skills, with the ability to build rapport and support customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
Proficiency in inventory management, basic budgeting, and use of point-of-sale and retail management systems.
Effective people management capabilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance feedback.
Good organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in store presentation and merchandising.
Willingness to work on-site within your own territory (ask us about what locations are available) and maintain flexible hours, including weekends and peak trading periods.
Basic understanding of marketing and community engagement to support local store promotion.
Relevant experience or training in business, retail, or a related field is beneficial; formal qualifications are an advantage but not mandatory.
