Job Description
About the Role
n
We are currently looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our valued client's data center practice. This position will work with a team of professionals, including client project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders, to develop, manage, and monitor CPM schedules and project control systems throughout a project's life cycle. This role is a significant project team position with many growth opportunities.

General responsibilities include:
n
n
Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
n
Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules that accurately include all required dates, activities, and milestones.
n
Perform progress schedule updates to include comprehensive reporting and narratives.
n
Review project schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
n
Perform critical path analyses, identify schedule-related problems, and recommend corrective actions.
n
Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages for the project site team.
n
Review the contractor's progress and present it to management for decision-making.
n
Develop metrics, KPIs, and benchmarks to support the program.
n
Cost and resource management and reporting.
n
Identification and evaluation of risk and impacts within project schedules.
n
Communicate project status and challenges effectively.
n
Meet with project teams, clients, owners,
and various stakeholders.
n
n
Requirements:
n
n
Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
n
Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
n
Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field. This requirement may be waived with five or more years of direct, vertical construction industry experience.
n
Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
n
Ability to accurately interpret construction documents.
n
Knowledge of construction means, methods, and sequences.
n
Experience developing construction project schedules for data center projects.
n
Cost and resource management and reporting,
n
Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling,
n
Excellent oral and written communication skills,
n
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously,
n
AACEI PSP or PMI-SP certification(s) preferred.
n
This role requires being full-time on-site.
