****About the Role**MSS Security is seeking professional, reliable and customer-focused Terminal Security Officers to join our team at Hobart International Airport.This role provides a visible security presence throughout the airport terminal and surrounding precinct, helping maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for passengers, staff and visitors.
**Duties include:*** Conduct security patrols of the terminal, forecourt, aprons, airport roads and car parks.
* Monitor and report security, safety and operational concerns.
* Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents.
* Apply effective verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques when responding to challenging or escalating behaviours.
* Engage respectfully with passengers experiencing distress and provide first aid when required.
* Maintain accurate security logs, patrol records and incident reports.
* Provide a professional and customer-focused security presence throughout the airport.




**Ideal candidates will have:*** Confidence applying de-escalation techniques and managing challenging behaviour without unnecessarily escalating a situation.
* Patience, empathy and the ability to communicate respectfully with vulnerable or distressed people.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* A professional presentation and reliable approach to work.
* Previous experience in security, aviation, transport, mental health support or another public-facing operational environment will be highly regarded.
* Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
**Requirements:*** Full Australian working rights.
* A current Tasmanian Security Agent Licence.
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
* Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
* Ability to undergo a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing.
