Role Description
The Responsible Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sydney, NSW, overseeing regulatory compliance and operational governance for the firm's Australian activities.
This position is accountable for ensuring that the business adheres to applicable licensing, conduct, and reporting obligations, and for maintaining appropriate policies, procedures, and risk controls.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring compliance frameworks, reviewing and approving key operational processes, providing guidance on regulatory requirements, and liaising with regulators and external advisors as needed.




The Responsible Manager also collaborates with local and global teams to support product design, underwriting standards, and customer protection measures aligned with Australian regulations.
The role involves preparing and reviewing documentation, training staff on compliance expectations, and continuously assessing the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.
Qualifications
Strong experience in regulatory compliance, licensing obligations, and risk management within financial services or investment firms.
Knowledge of Australian financial services regulations, including relevant ASIC frameworks, and familiarity with lending or payment services.
Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls that support sustainable and compliant growth.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with regulators, legal advisors, and cross-functional teams.
Prior leadership or accountable person / Responsible Manager experience, with a track record of overseeing governance for regulated entities.
Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business, or a related discipline; relevant skilled certifications in compliance or risk management are an advantage.
High level of integrity, professional ethics, and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of regulated responsibilities.
