The Opportunity
As a
Building Surveyor / Certifier
, you will be involved in a diverse and continually growing range of projects.
Your role will include:
Conducting detailed building surveys and inspections
Preparing condition surveys and reports
Undertaking
NCC compliance audits across all building classifications
Reviewing plans and building documentation
Assessing buildings and proposed works for compliance
Preparing and reviewing certification documentation
Providing expert building compliance advice
Interpreting and applying the
NCC and relevant Australian Standards
Identifying compliance issues and developing practical solutions
Liaising with builders, designers, engineers, developers and other consultants
Working with Local Government and other relevant authorities
Managing projects and workloads independently
Contributing to a skilled and collaborative team environment
We are looking for an experienced surveyor who is
confident, technically capable, reliable and ready to hit the ground running
.
About You
You will ideally have:
Current
WA Building Surveyor registration/licence – Level 1, 2 or 3
A
Degree in Building Surveying
or relevant qualification
Strong knowledge of the
National Construction Code (NCC)
Strong understanding of relevant
Australian Standards
Sound knowledge of Western Australian building legislation and regulations
Experience in building surveying and certification
Experience conducting building inspections and condition surveys
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
The ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
A current
unrestricted Australian Driver Licence
Reliable transport and a willingness to travel when required

Existing building assessments

Working with Local Government

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Kelmscott or be willing to relocate prior to commencement.
Travel throughout the Perth metropolitan area and regional WA may be required from time to time.
Requirements
Registration:
Current WA Building Surveyor registration/licence –
Level 1, 2 or 3
Education:
Degree in Building Surveying, Advanced Diploma, Associate Degree or relevant qualification.
Driver Licence:
Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence required.
Work Rights:
Applicants must have unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
White Card:
Preferred.
