that is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is looking to appoint a high-calibre Financial Controller to help build and lead the finance function through its next stage of growth.
The business has grown by approximately

, creating a genuine opportunity for a commercially minded Financial Controller to have significant influence on the finance function, systems and processes.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial control and reporting function, while leading and developing a high-performing finance team.

You will need to be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where processes are still being built and improved, and where you are expected to hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the month-end and year-end close process across a complex, multi-entity group
Reviewing and overseeing management accounting and monthly reporting
Preparing quarterly investor, Board and PE reporting packs
Overseeing statutory reporting, taxation and compliance requirements
Providing strong technical accounting expertise across areas including
lease accounting, consolidations, tax and AASB/IFRS
Leading the annual external audit process and managing relationships with external advisors
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
Driving improvements across finance processes, controls and reporting frameworks
Supporting ERP implementation and broader finance systems improvements
Supporting acquisitions,



integration activities and other strategic projects
Overseeing AP/AR and cash management functions
Managing, developing and growing the finance team
The role currently sits within a finance function of approximately
7 people
, reporting into the CFO and leading the broader financial accounting team.
About you
We are looking for a
high-functioning Financial Controller
who can operate at both a technical and commercial level.
Ideally, you will have:
Approximately
4–5 years Big 4 audit experience
, ideally through to Manager level
A further
5+ years in a commercial financial reporting environment
Strong technical accounting knowledge across
AASB/IFRS, consolidations, leases and taxation
Experience working within a multi-entity, high-growth SME/mid-market environment
Solid month-end, financial reporting and management accounting experience
Exposure to PE, investor or Board reporting
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation/implementation
Strong leadership and team development capability
Property experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Experience in a PE-backed or debt-funded workplace will be highly regarded.
