Job Description
We're recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a public practice firm in Sydney. This is a hands‐on role for someone who has moved past pure compliance and wants more ownership over client relationships, review work and technical problem‐solving across a varied client base.

What You'll Be Doing

Managing a portfolio of clients across financial statements, income tax returns and BAS/IAS compliance
n
Preparing and reviewing tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships
n
Reviewing work prepared by Intermediates and Graduates, and supporting their technical development
n
Liaising directly with clients on their affairs, including more complex tax and structuring queries
n
Assisting with tax planning, Division 7A, CGT and small business concessions as they arise within the portfolio
n
Working closely with Managers and Partners on larger or more technical client matters
n




Contributing to client meetings and building your own relationships within the portfolio
n

What You'll Bring
n
n
CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
n
3+ years' experience in public practice (essential)
n
Strong technical accounting and tax fundamentals, with the confidence to review others' work
n
Experience across a range of client entities (individuals, trusts, companies, SMSFs)
n
Comfortable working directly with clients, not just behind the scenes
n
Genuine interest in progressing toward a Manager role
n
