This is an exciting client-side opportunity suited to someone with a strong background across
property development, major projects, procurement and commercial management
.
The role will provide exposure across the development lifecycle, including commercial strategy, procurement, contracting, project delivery and stakeholder management.
About the Role
Working closely with senior project and development stakeholders, you will be responsible for providing commercial input across a range of major projects and initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Supporting development feasibility and commercial assessments.
Developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Managing tender and procurement processes.Reviewing and negotiating contracts and commercial agreements.
Managing commercial matters throughout project delivery.
Assessing variations, claims, extensions of time and other contractual issues.
Monitoring costs, forecasts, risks and commercial performance.
Preparing commercial recommendations and reporting for senior stakeholders.
Working closely with legal, financial, technical and project advisers.
Supporting effective commercial and project governance.
About You
We are looking for a commercially solid professional who can operate confidently on the
client/developer side
and understands the broader commercial drivers of property development.
You will ideally have:




8 + years' relevant commercial experience.
Experience across property development, major projects or a similar environment.
Strong procurement and contract management capability.
Experience negotiating and managing development or construction contracts.
Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence working with senior stakeholders and external project partners.
The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider project team.
Experience within a
property developer, institutional property environment, government, major projects or advisory business
would be advantageous.
