Description
Calvary St John's Hospital, Hobart is seeking to recruit Visiting Medical Officers (VMO) in Rehabilitation Medicine and Geriatric Medicine to join its team in providing medical services to the Tasmanian community, including:
participating in the rehabilitation medicine on-call roster (approximately 1 in 5)
outpatient consulting sessions at designated consulting suites, located on the hospital grounds
contributing to the hospital through committee work or equivalent
Calvary Hobart, St John's Hospital supports the Calvary Rehabilitation Physician VMO's with access to consulting rooms on site, including administrative and information systems support.
The VMO's provide an on-call service for Rehabilitation Medicine admissions to the hospital and a consultation service to other specialities, and successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the on-call roster.
Inpatients are located on a designated rehabilitation ward with a skilled and compassionate nursing team with Allied Health support and has access to a hospital medical officer during business hours.
Support will be provided to set up in outpatient consulting suites at the Calvary St John's Hospital Campus.

Essential qualifications
The hospital is seeking a Rehabilitation Physician with FRACP, AFRM or equivalent.
