The Prospect
n
As a Fire Electrician, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, fault finding and repair of a wide range of fire systems across commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sites throughout Perth.
n
You'll play a vital role in helping protect lives, assets and businesses by ensuring fire safety systems operate at the highest standard and remain compliant with Australian Standards.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Installation, programming, fault finding and repairs of fire detection systems, fire panels and EWIS systems
n
Installation, modification and maintenance of:n
n
FDCIE
n
EWCIE
n
FFCP systems
n
Pump interface equipment
n
Emergency and exit lighting
n
Auxiliary service interfaces
n
n
Integration with BMS and HVAC control systems
n
Conducting site surveys and recommending compliant fire protection solutions
n
Diagnosing and resolving technical faults efficiently
n
Completing service reports, maintenance records and compliance documentation accurately
n
Participating in an on-call roster and attending emergency call-outs when required
n
Building solid relationships with customers through professional service delivery
n
Maintaining company vehicles, tools and equipment to a high standard
n
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
Essential Qualifications & Licences
n
n
Certificate III in Electrotechnology
n
Current WA Electrical Workers Licence
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
White Card (Construction Induction Card)
n
n
Highly Desirable
n
n
Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection & Testing
n
Previous fire detection / EWIS experience
n
Experience with fire detection and EWIS systems
n
Emergency Alarm & Evacuation training
n
Strong understanding of Australian Standards relating to fire systems
n
Working at Heights
n
EWP
n
EWP high-risk licence
n
Experience with commercial fire panels and fault finding
n
n
Don't have all the fire qualifications? We'd still like to hear from experienced electricians interested in moving into the fire industry, with training available for the right person.

Experience
n
n
Minimum 5 years' field experience, ideally within the fire protection industry
n
Robust fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
Experience servicing and commissioning fire protection systems
n
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
Commitment to safety, compliance and quality workmanship
