About the role
n
We are seeking an energetic, experienced, and hands‐on Assistant Manager to join our leadership team. Working closely alongside the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving daily operations across our Bistro, Sports Bar, TAB, and Gaming Room. The ideal candidate will combine strong floor management skills with a thorough operational understanding of Victorian Gaming regulations, Responsible Gambling standards, and TAB wagering services.

Key responsibilities

Hands-on leadership of daily venue operations, opening/closing procedures, and cross-floor supervision (Function, Bistro, Bar, Sports Bar, TAB, and Gaming)
n
Oversee daily gaming room compliance, cash handling/clearances, payouts, and TAB terminal wagering services
n
Strict enforcement of Victorian Responsible Gambling (RSG/RCG) practices, RSA, and venue licensing conditions
n
Guide, train, and motivate service, bar,



and gaming staff to maintain consistently high service standards and positive team morale
n
Act as the primary escalation point during shifts, maintaining strong patron relationships in both social and gaming spaces
n
Assist with float management, reconciliation of cash drawers/EFT, stock control, and daily gaming audits
n

About you
n
n
2+ years of supervisory or assistant management experience within a high-volume hotel or gaming pub setting
n
Solid operational understanding of electronic gaming machines (EGMs), TAB terminals/wagering systems, and gaming room floor management
n
Current Victorian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
n
Current RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)
n
Valid VCGLR / VGCCC Gaming Industry Employee License
n
Dynamic, approachable, and proactive leadership style with a strong eye for regulatory detail
n
Flexibility to work a rotating roster including nights, weekends, and public holidays
n
