ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a warm, energetic and experienced Casual Coffee Bar Assistant to join our vibrant Village Coffee Bar.
Our Coffee Bar is a popular gathering place for residents, visitors and team members, so this is a role for someone who loves people as much as they love coffee!
You'll be part of a busy Village Team, preparing quality coffees and beverages, serving light meals and creating a friendly experience for everyone who walks through the door.
This is a fast-paced role, so you'll need to be someone who:
Knows their coffee
and has solid barista skills
Thrives when it's busy
and can keep things moving without compromising quality
Loves customer service
and enjoys chatting with people
Works well as part of a team
but can also confidently take initiative
Enjoys creating genuine connections




with older people and their families
Job Description
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Your day will be a mix of great coffee, great service and plenty of interaction.
You'll:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, beverages and light meals
Provide warm, friendly and professional service to residents, families and visitors
Process EFTPOS and cash transactions accurately
Maintain a clean, secure and hygienic coffee bar and kitchen
Restock ingredients and supplies
Work closely with the Coffee Bar Team Leader and Catering Team
Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
Keep calm, organised and positive during busy periods
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Confidence preparing and presenting quality coffee and beverages
Experience working in a
fast-paced environment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Confidence with EFTPOS and cash handling
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
A positive, friendly and team-focused attitude
Great availability across our operating hours
Hospitality or barista qualifications
Experience in a café, hotel, retirement village or aged care environment
Desired Skills and Experience
AVAILABILITY
Our Coffee Bar operates 7 days a week, with shifts operating between 7:00am – 2:30pm.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have




strong availability across a range of days and are able to work weekends as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants will be required to meet BallyCara's pre-employment requirements, including:
Satisfactory National Police Check
Current First Aid and CPR
