Casey Caring Hands Pty Ltd is a community care provider based in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.
We deliver safe, reliable and person-centred support across aged care and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) services.
We support older people and individuals living with disability to remain independent, connected and well supported in their homes and communities.
Our services include community nursing, personal care, domestic assistance, respite care, social support, transport assistance and tailored in-home support.

Role Description
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Female Disability Support Worker to provide direct in-home assistance to a participant located in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.
Due to the participant's personal-care requirements, privacy, dignity and expressed preference, a female support worker is required for this position.
The position has a base rate of
$*****
per hour.
A
25% casual loading
and
12% superannuation
are paid in addition to the base rate.
Casual Pay Rates
Base hourly rate: $*****
Monday–Friday: $***** per hour, including 25% casual loading
Saturday: $***** per hour
Sunday: $***** per hour
Public holidays: $***** per hour
Superannuation: An additional 12% paid separately
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living
Supporting protected transfers, mobility and repositioning
Using safe manual-handling techniques and mobility equipment
Providing medication prompts in accordance with the participant's support plan and organisational policies
Assisting with meal preparation, meals and drinks
Providing domestic assistance, including kitchen and bathroom cleaning
Changing bed linen and maintaining a clean and safe environment
Supporting transportation,



appointments and community participation
Following the participant's individual support plan
Promoting the participant's independence, dignity, choice and control
Monitoring changes in the participant's health or wellbeing
Promptly reporting incidents, risks or concerns
Communicating professionally with the participant, family, care team and relevant health professionals
Completing accurate progress notes and service documentation
Following NDIS requirements and Casey Caring Hands policies and procedures
Participating in required training, team meetings and competency assessments
Maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries
Applicants must have:
Previous experience in disability, community or in-home support
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current National Police Check
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid certificate
Current CPR certificate
Current manual-handling training
Demonstrated competency in safe transfers, mobility assistance and repositioning
Reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
Understanding of person-centred and trauma-informed care
Knowledge of safeguarding, duty of care and risk management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to complete clear and accurate documentation
Ability to follow support plans, instructions and organisational procedures
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to use electronic care records and mobile devices
A compassionate, patient, respectful and dependable approach
Availability to commence as soon as possible




Willingness to work in and maintain a strictly smoke-free environment
Basic technical support and digital literacy skills to use mobile devices, apps, and client management systems for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, patience, and the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with clients and their support networks.
Knowledge of safeguarding practices, including maintaining professional boundaries, promoting client safety, and understanding duty of care and mandatory reporting.
Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues, and for accurate documentation.
Ability to work on-site in South East Melbourne, VIC, with reliability, flexibility for varying shifts, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practice.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification
Experience supporting people with physical disabilities and mobility requirements
Experience using mobility equipment and assisting with transfers
Experience providing personal care and domestic assistance
Experience supporting participants in their homes and communities
What We Offer
An attractive base rate of $***** per hour
An additional 25% casual loading
An additional 12% superannuation
