Linux, Automation & Infrastructure Engineering
Seeking an experienced Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join a highly secure government technology program delivering critical national capability outcomes.
This role will suit engineers who enjoy working across complex environments, solving challenging technical problems, and supporting the delivery of secure infrastructure solutions.
The Role
As an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, you will contribute across the entire system development lifecycle, supporting the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of complex infrastructure platforms.
Working within a team-oriented technical team, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security and performance of mission-critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide engineering services across all phases of the system development lifecycle.
Design, implement and support infrastructure and platform solutions.
Install, configure, maintain and decommission hardware and software components.
Develop and maintain scripts to support system automation and operational efficiency.
Support software integration, testing and deployment activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and system issues.
Collaborate with technical teams and key stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
Contribute to infrastructure maintenance,



upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience supporting and administering enterprise infrastructure environments.
Strong Linux administration and system hardening capabilities.
Experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation.
Ability to design, implement and maintain secure infrastructure solutions.
Experience with scripting and software development practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Mandatory Requirements
Ability to work onsite in Canberra.
Experience working within highly secure or classified environments is highly regarded.
