The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region.

About the Role?
n
The purpose of this position is to provide advice and support staff transitioning into the workforce or into a current role. This will include 1:1 mentoring and facilitating group programs to develop work-readiness skills that enable successful employment transitions. The role will work alongside Managers to upskill and provide support for leaders in supporting work transition of staff.
n
Your day-to-day duties will look like:
n
n
Foster a sense of cultural belonging and identity to help individuals feel comfortable in their work roles.
n
Assist staff in transitioning into their role by offering advice on day-to-day self-management in the workplace.
n
Contribute to the development and delivery of resources and workshops to support work transition in partnership with other team members.
n




Continuously follow up with new employees as required to monitor their progress and address any challenges that may arise during their employment journey.
n
Contribute to continuous quality improvement strategies including ensuring up to date information is available.
n

Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
n
Current Criminal History Check
n
Current Working with Children's Check (QLD Blue Card)

Desirable, but not mandatory:

Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
