Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join the team.

Description
n
n
Manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple payrolls (circa. 1,100 employees)
n
Process and review employee commencements, terminations, salary changes, leave, allowances and deductions.
n
Calculate and manage complex payroll transactions including terminations, back pays and payroll adjustments.
n
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, employment conditions and statutory obligations.
n
Complete payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
n
Prepare payroll reporting, journals and payroll-related financial information.
n
Provide accurate payroll advice and support to employees, managers and key stakeholders.
n
Identify and drive payroll process improvements and system enhancements.
n
Develop and maintain payroll documentation, procedures and controls.
n
Support and mentor less experienced team members while contributing to business continuity across the payroll function.

Profile
n
n
Proven end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
n
Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, agreements, PAYG, superannuation and statutory requirements.
n
Excellent reconciliation, reporting and analytical skills.
n
Experience managing complex payroll queries and payroll calculations.
n
Strong payroll systems and Microsoft Excel capability.
n
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to contribute beyond day-to-day processing.
n
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously.
