About the opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sleep and Neuropsychology to join a multidisciplinary research team focused on sleep, ageing and cognitive health. This position will work under guidance of Professor Sharon Naismith play a key role in coordinating and delivering research projects investigating sleep and ageing in older adults at risk of dementia.
Working within a collaborative research environment, you will contribute to high-quality research outcomes, support project delivery, engage with participants and stakeholders, and help advance evidence-based approaches to understanding the relationship between sleep, neuropsychology and healthy ageing.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- coordinate research projects focused on sleep, ageing and dementia risk in older adults
- design, implement and manage research activities in accordance with approved protocols
- collect, analyse and interpret quantitative and/or clinical research data
- contribute to the preparation of research publications, reports and presentations
- support participant recruitment, assessment and retention activities
- collaborate with academic, clinical and industry partners as required
- assist with research ethics, governance and regulatory compliance requirements
- contribute to grant applications and other research funding initiatives.

- PhD in Psychology, Neuropsychology, Neuroscience, Sleep Science or a closely related discipline
- demonstrated experience conducting research in sleep, ageing, cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology or dementia-related fields
- experience coordinating complex research projects and managing multiple priorities
- strong quantitative data analysis skills and experience with relevant statistical software
- evidence of research excellence through peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
- experience working with older adult populations and/or clinical research participants is desirable
- demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary research teams
- excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a range of stakeholders.
