Remuneration: $121,568 - $125,507 per annum
Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considred for part time hours)

Join the Occupational Therapy Senior Acute Team across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals, supporting person-centred care within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. This is an opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with supervision, leadership and service improvement.

Work across busy acute hospital environments with diverse clinical presentations

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated patient care

Support the development of staff and students through clinical supervision and education

Contribute to a culture of learning, collaboration, respect and continuous improvement

Help shape quality, safety and person-centred care across Occupational Therapy services

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based Occupational Therapy services while supporting the clinical capability and development of colleagues across the Senior Acute Team.

Deliver comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention within your scope of practice

Provide clinical supervision to staff and students,



including onsite and remote supervision as required

Lead and contribute to quality improvement, service evaluation and person-centred care initiatives

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and maintain explicit, accurate clinical documentation

Provide senior clinical support, education and leadership in a high-turnover environment with competing demands

Further discussion will be required with successful candidates to negotiate work days as we will require 7 day coverage including weekends.

Essential Criteria

Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy

Registration: AHPRA Occupational Therapist - general registration

Selection Criteria

Extensive years of clinical experience in Occupational Therapy in an acute care setting with demonstrated experience to design, implement and evaluate intervention programs

Ability to work both independently with minimum direct clinical supervision and as a member of a multidisciplinary team including demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills





Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills

Current driver's license

Experience in supervision of professional staff and/or senior students

Commitment to ongoing education / professional development

Commitment to and experience in Quality Improvement

Ability to work Saturday or Sunday as required on site or provide distant supervision of Occupational Therapists working on a weekend as part of a senior OT roster
