What you'll be doing
Working within a close-knit and very well supported team, you will contribute to a high-quality pathology service. Blood collection, phlebotomy is a core duty of this role. You will also perform a range of pre analytical duties including receiving and triaging of specimens, patient registration and request entry, specimen processing and preparation for transport or delivery to laboratories for timely accurate diagnostic testing.

- Demonstrated ability to learn all aspects of the pre analytical environment, including phlebotomy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage tasks in a demanding environment where there are competing priorities and time constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, both internal and external, while applying sound problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate and resolve issues.
- Proficient computer skills including high attention to detail and data accuracy and the ability to operate and maintain pre analytical equipment.




- Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information in a laboratory setting, following relevant legislation, policies, and requirements.
- Willingness to participate in a 24/7 rotating shift roster, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts
- Current NSW C-Class driver's licence (P1 or P2 accepted) is required. Interstate C-Class licence holders must obtain an NSW C-Class licence within three months of appointment. Learner licences are not accepted.
