South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) Drug & Alcohol (D&A;) Services provides a range of treatment and support services designed to assist individuals, families, and communities managing concerns related to alcohol, prescription, or illicit drug use.

D&A; services are located in clinics at the Langton Centre in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Centre at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&A; services are provided at Sydney/ Sydney Eye, Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland Hospitals. Our goal is to improve health, wellbeing and social outcomes for individuals, families and the community, related to drug and alcohol use.

SESLHD D&A; is committed to being a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumers, as well as workers. The job provides an opportunity to work closely with community, strengthen connections and engagement, and provide culturally appropriate service delivery. The purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate and deliver high quality psychosocial assessments andor functional assessments, care coordination and navigation to people attending the SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service,



consistent with SESLHD policies, procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria * Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. For Occupational Therapy; registration with AHPRA, for Social Work, eligible for membership with the AASW.
- Demonstrated core competency skills in Social Work or Occupational Therapy and sound understanding of issues faced by people impacted by drug and alcohol use.
- Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence-based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
- Demonstrated participation in quality improvement processes, commensurate with years of experience.

Demonstrated ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
