The Company
A large, complex Australian group with a history of growth through acquisition is undergoing a significant reset of its strategy and operating model. With multiple businesses across the Group, the focus is on accelerating organic growth, improving business performance and building a more scalable platform to support future growth and M&A.;
The transformation agenda has strong sponsorship from the CEO, CFO and ELT, with a clear mandate to drive measurable commercial and financial outcomes.
The Role
This is a high-impact initial 3-month interim assignment for an experienced Strategy & Transformation executive. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the ELT, you will help turn Group strategy into clear priorities, executable initiatives and measurable commercial outcomes.
This is a hands-on role focused on strategy execution, performance improvement and value creation across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate Group strategy into clear priorities and executable initiatives
- Partner with senior leaders to develop business strategies and roadmaps
- Identify and prioritise growth, performance and value-creation opportunities
- Drive improvement across pricing, margin, productivity, cost and working capital
- Quantify EBITDA, cash and commercial benefits
- Build a prioritised value-creation roadmap with clear ownership
- Establish practical governance, benefits tracking and execution discipline
About You
You will be a senior operator with strong strategy, commercial and transformation capability.
You will bring:
- Significant senior-level finance strategy, transformation or performance experience.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen.
- A track record of delivering measurable EBITDA and cash improvement.
- Experience translating strategy into execution.
- Exposure to complex, multi-business or multi-site environments.
- Experience in PE-backed, acquisitive or M&A; environments highly regarded.
- Confidence working directly with CEOs, CFOs and senior executives.
You may have started your career in strategy consulting; however, substantial operating experience and demonstrated implementation capability will be critical.
