Position Details

THE ROLE





The Senior Project Manager plays a key role in delivering a stream within the Energy Efficiency in Social Housing Program. This stream seeks to find innovative methods to retrofit existing social housing utilising modern methods of construction.

The upgrades will reduce renters' cost of living, improve the amenity, comfort and health of their homes, and help shape a more sustainable future. It is also intended that scalable methods will be found to more efficiently deliver high-quality retrofit outcomes for public housing, cost effectively, and to support industry development.

As part of an innovative and collaborative team, this role will critically evaluate proposals, collaborate internally and with contractors to develop high-quality design solutions, establish and apply a rigorous project management plan, and ensure the program meets high standards of quality and efficiency. There will also be opportunities to work on other projects within the team related to maximising outcomes across the asset lifecycle.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Collaborate with project partners and participate in the co-design and delivery of a pilot modern methods of construction solutions to the retrofit of public housing apartments, using relevant specialist skills and expertise.
- Contribute to the full life cycle of these projects to meet departmental objectives including:

- Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.




- Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Coordinate procurement processes, including the preparation and evaluation of tender documents.
