Safety Coordinator | Sydney | Tier 1 Construction
An industry-leading Tier 1 construction contractor is seeking a motivated and practical Safety Coordinator to join their Sydney team on a full-time permanent basis.

Working closely with project teams, you will play a key role in promoting safe work practices, supporting day-to-day site safety requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of major construction projects across Sydney.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive health and safety support across multiple construction projects throughout Sydney
- Travel between project sites to conduct inspections, audits and safety observations
- Conduct site inductions for employees, subcontractors and visitors
- Assist project teams with risk assessments, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), incident investigations and corrective actions
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems
- Monitor site safety performance and identify opportunities to improve safety outcomes
- Deliver safety guidance, coaching and education to project teams and subcontractors
- Promote a positive and proactive safety culture through effective communication and engagement
- Assist with injury management and return-to-work processes where required
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports and compliance documentation
- Build strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline
- 3-5+ year's experience in a Safety Coordinator, Safety Advisor or similar construction safety role
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites
- Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, standards and industry best practice
- Experience using Microsoft Office and safety management systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within project teams
- Proactive, professional and team-oriented approach
