New Graduate Physiotherapist - The Sutherland Hospital

An exciting prospect exists for 2 New Graduate Physiotherapists to join the agile Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Department at The Sutherland Hospital. We are offering a 12 month program in a supportive learning and teaching environment for newly graduated physiotherapist to grow in their profession and career.

Where you'll be working

You will be working at The Sutherland Hospital and Community Health Service, a major metropolitan and teaching hospital located in the Sutherland Shire, approximately half an hour drive south of Sydney, in the suburb of Caringbah. The Sutherland Hospital provides a range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.

You will be a valued member of the Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology Department.

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality Physiotherapy care to patients/clients of the insert site consistent with South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies,



procedures and standards.

Selection Criteria:
1. Qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award and AHPRA registration and within their new graduate year on commencement of role.
2. Demonstrated core competency skills in Physiotherapy; and demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
3. Demonstrated high level written, verbal and interpersonal skills, to both engage patients/clients and work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
4. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgement in the provision of clinical care using evidence based practice, commensurate with years of experience.
5. Demonstrated commitment to the use and application of professional and clinical digital technologies.
6. Ability to respond to the demands and pressures of the role while managing time effectively.
7. A willingness to work on a 7 day rotating roster including weekend work.
8. Current drivers licence (or a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position).
