Alice Springs Hospital is seeking an experienced Midwife to join its Maternity team on a contract basis commencing 22 October 2026 for 4-6 weeks. The successful candidate will work across the birthing suite, antenatal, and postnatal areas, providing clinical care to mothers and newborns in a busy regional hospital setting. This is an excellent chance to contribute to a dedicated maternity service in Australia's Northern Territory.

Preferred Requirements

- Minimum two years of clinical experience in midwifery or maternity care




- Demonstrated competence across all three maternity areas: birthing suite, antenatal, and postnatal
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with obstetricians, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Current knowledge of relevant clinical guidelines and best-practice maternity care standards

Preferred Qualifications

- Recognised qualification in Midwifery (Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent)
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (N2)
- Current CPR and emergency resuscitation certification
