About the client:
A well established specialist engineering and manufacturing business supporting the mining and mineral processing sector, providing engineered wear-resistant solutions designed to improve equipment reliability, extend asset life and reduce plant downtime. The business delivers a range of products and services including ceramic-lined pipework, wear linings, chutes, cyclones, fabrication, inspections, maintenance and site-based technical support, working with major resources operations across Australia.
About the Position:
WorkPac are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist for a permanent role, Perth based.
Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the key objectives of this position will be to manage existing business and increase market share across the mining and industrial sectorsin the Goldfields and Southeast region. You will be responsible for an existing customer base using your technical and commercial expertise to support and grow our business. It will be your task to be a part of our continued growth in the region across our full suite of products.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and develop an existing portfolio of mining and industrial customers across the Goldfields and South East regions.
- Build solid, long-term relationships with key customers and identify opportunities to increase account growth.
- Drive market share and revenue growth across the region through proactive business development and account management.
- Provide customers with technical and commercial solutions aligned to their operational requirements.
- Promote and sell the organisations full suite of products and services, identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with prospective mining and industrial clients.
- Conduct regular customer visits, site meetings and technical discussions to understand customer needs and upcoming projects.
Skills and experience:
- To be successful candidates will have the following skills and attributes;
- Experiencein the sales process and KPI focused selling
- Mechanical Trade, Engineering Certificate
- Relevant Technical Experience in a Wear Products portfolio would be highly regarded
- Experienced in sales and/or the mining industry
- Highly Motivated & Enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Highly motivated to develop business
- Possessstrong computer skills around the Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent time management
- Ability to travel regularly
In addition you will thrive on visiting customers, identifying opportunities and generating enquiries for HMA Group products through a differentiated sales process, follow up project activity, undertake sales presentations to key account customers and importantly be able to close the sale.
